The National Brass Ensemble Recording

JANUARY 3, 2016 UPDATE

Now you can purchase this recording!

A year ago today, a group of orchestral brass musicians descended on the state of California to present a concert of rare proportions. According to Social Media, the National Brass Ensemble will be presenting another concert on September 20, 2015 at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. The purpose of this concert is to promote their recording which features the works of Gabrieli (arranged by Timothy Higgins), a new composition by John Williams, and other selections. Many brass players may remember the famed Antiphonal Music of Gabrieli which featured the legendary brass sections of the Chicago, Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras. This new recording could almost be seen as the same concept – only with a new generation of brass players.
