Lis Wessberg at VEGA in Copenhagen, Denmark

Trombonist Lis Wessberg released debut album Yellow Map in 2021 and followed up with Twain Walking in 2023. The music from both albums will be performed at concerts in 2024-2025. The band includes Steen Rasmussen, Lennart Ginman and Jeppe Gram, and their music combines light and darkness in a fluid, cinematic expression.

Lis Wessberg has contributed to more than 50 publications. She has played with household names such as Jan Kaspersen, Marilyn Mazur, Fredrik Lundin, Hanne Boel and many more. Wessberg has also played and recorded with international stars such as Joyce Moreno, Bob Berg, Paulo Braga, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, and Ernie Wilkins Almost Big Band feat. Randy Brecker.

In collaboration with JazzDanmark, VEGA has invited three pioneering artists and orchestras to work with the immersive concert experience in Ideal Bar in autumn 2024.
